BFF
In my opinion, true friends are incredibly rare. I'm not talking about friends that you share clothes with and comment on famous people. I'm talking about the real friends. The ones that you can put on fat pants and then do absolutely nothing together and be thrilled to do it. The friends that, even when you are 23 years old, can put on rediculous make up and take a million pictures. The friends that make you laugh so hard you fart. Don't act like its never happened, lets be honest. If it's never happened you haven't gotten a friend like that yet. My two best friends came to visit me and were snowed in nearly the entire time. We basically were able to get out the days they came and then the days they left. You know what though? If I had to be snowed in with anyone (excepting my husband) those two would be the ones I would want to be with. We did nearly nothing the entire time but I have not laughed that hard in longer than I can remember. It was so much fun. Friends are the people who stand the test of time. They are the ones that you can yell at, scream at, and then laugh with all at the same time. I feel immeasurably lucky to have them. Even if they are 3,000 miles away. :)

I love the princess bride.
That movie is awesome. It really is. I am watching it on tv as I write this. However I am incredibly upset as well. Remember the dashing face of Wesley? Here's a useful picture to show why I am upset.

OMG SOMEONE ATE WESLEY! This broke my heart. It broke my heart more to realize he was the chubby pasty fellow on Saw who sawed his leg off!

Tragic. I KNOW! I'm traumatized. The movie came out the year I was born and I've probably watched it every year since I was born! It's funnier and funnier the older I get.
PS these are the best shirts ever:

Home is where again?
Up until this point in my life my home was always wherever my parents were. Granted, I was always more sentimental than everyone else when it came to moving from the house where we grew up. But now I live in Virginia with my husband. We've lived here almost a year now. However, anytime I meet anyone from California, especially San Diego, I freak out. I get so excited because I feel like we share an understanding of what its like to go from there to here. I love San Diego. I love the Chargers, I love the Gaslamp district, I love the beach, I love Mexican food. I miss all of my friends and family out there so much!
Stephen was mentioning yesterday that he wanted to see about getting his firefighter credentials to open the eventual door of becoming a fireman. He said he felt like if he didn't pursue it than he would regret it. So I told him to go for it, whatever he wanted to do was fine. We aren't really sure with his shoulder that would be able to. Then he mentioned that it could open the door to us eventually moving back to California. Then I thought, huh. I don't know if I want to. I love my job here and I love my house. If it ever came to the point where we had the opportunity to move back, would we? I don't really know. Where is home now? I love both places. Lets just win the lottery and live both places.

WHY WOULD HE DO THAT
So last night I walk by the hallway and see my joyful German Shepherd 14 week old puppy coming out of our bedroom. He had a little spring in his step, which made me of course, suspicious. I walked into the bedroom to find several piles of dog poop on our bedroom floor. Not just good poop that is easy to clean; runny, sloppy piles of filth. Stephen and I tried our best to clean it all up. Then as we walked out we noticed the clothes we had left on the floor were wet. That's not right, we thought to ourselves. He had not only pooped twice in our room, he urinated on the pile of clean clothes we had in a pile waiting to be put away. Really, really. It was soooooooo gross. He had not had an accident in like 2 weeks! UGH. Fricken dog.
Anyone want to hike the Appalachian? My brother in law called Stephen yesterday and suggested that we go on like a 3 day hike in the appalachian mountains. How awesome would that be? I was never very outdoorsy but I have become more so as time goes on. It's easier to want to hike when there's more to walk around in than desert. I think it would be fun to make it a sort of annual hiking trip. What I'd really love to do is hike the whole thing, but it takes about 5 or 6 months so that's probably never gonna happen unless I split it up into one week hiking trips haha. And that would take ohhhh...20 something years? Haha. Lets do it.

Democrats:your gonna be offended
Just fyi, you will be offended by this post if you are a Barack Obama fan. I'm not gonna be PC because its my blog and you can stop reading at any time. The other day I was at work and one of my cashiers was saying how Obama was trying to get teachers wages increased. I laughed and said something to the extent of oh you believe him huh? And she asked me if I liked Obama and I said no. She said (albeit jokingly) "You just don't like him because he is black." Now, she was kidding. However, I think that statement is really what many people think of white republicans. That it's the color of his skin. How incredibly insulting. Here's the details on exactly why I do not like Barack Obama:
He lies.
Watch it all. Seriously. If you can watch it all and still believe without question everything he says, good for you. But I am sorry its ignorant. This video is just most all inclusive. However did you know he actually apoligized to European countries for americans arrogance, and recognizes that some of the Anti-American sentiment could be right. You kidding me? Whose team is he on? He also apoligizes on Muslim and Arab tv. really? My husband was in the marine corps, and your gonna apoligize to them. He has friends who died fighting with valor for our country, and your gonna act as if their deaths are embarrassing? REALLY? Your the president. Man up and stop cowering. No president is perfect, none without fault. But at least they knew what they stood for and worked towards it rather than behaving as if the white house is a reality tv show for all. Its embarassing to see that. That is embarrassing. Our soldiers fighting for freedom, dying for freedom? No, I am proud of that.
